Catena-X Prototype
We collaborated with Catena-X in early 2024 to help them define requirements for a gamification project to communicate the value of their system to customers. We worked closely with the designers of the system to ensure that we built a game which clearly showed the value of joining the Catena-X Ecosystem.

Project Workflow
Before beginning the project, we sat down with the main stakeholders and received a workshop on the new system, the value it added to the supply chain, and discussed the challenges users were having with understanding the new system. The main challenge identified was a lack of clarity in how implementing this system can improve the efficiency and speed of communication.
In order to communicate this effectively, a node graph was used as the main visualization tool. Players must spend time points in order to run their company, and in doing so are able to improve the efficiency of their company.
Once joining the CatenaX ecosystem, players are able to more efficiently complete their tasks. Doing so allows them to upgrade their company to level 5, at which point they win the game.
In addition to providing a functioning prototype, we also provided a UI mockup to explain how the game could be integrated into their existing educational resources. This showed the location and naming of the project on their website, as well as providing a visual goal to measure the project’s development against.
By the end of the project, we had a fully functioning prototype that could be played by the client. This prototype helped CatenaX better define their project requirements for future implementations and allowed them to gain an understanding of what is possible with interactive experiences.
